Workshop of scenery card :  "The Wood Fairy of Beeswax "

By Mark Roseboom

Items you need to make the card :

- glossy paper

- Marvy markers in green accents

- old paper for masks

- glue

- non permanent glue ( for setting the masks on the card and after remove )

- Adirondack light & dark green ink and light & dark blue

- Sea Shells Citrus Green ink

- Memories black ink

- Brilliance moonlight white ink

- something for sponging ( I use finger sponges )

- scissors

- white gel marker

- stamps ( water lily 717L , Beeswax Cover Girl 478L and Cherry Blossoms 689M from Beeswax )

( trees and coasts from Stampscapes )

1. First take the glossy paper, the Water Lily  stamp and the black ink, stamp the

Water Lily twice on the paper.

2. Then take a paper to make masks from for the flowers (I always use old print paper for it ),

mask the two Water Lily and make sure that you do NOT throw away the paper where you

cut the mask out, it will come out very handy later on this card.

3. Then take the fairy stamp and your black ink and stamp the woman between the

two flowers.  Mask her the same as the flowers, now you don't need to save the old paper.

4.Then take the coasts from Stampscapes, left and right side, and the black ink, stamp them

above the flowers, each on the side to fit.

5. After that take the tree cluster stamp from Stampscapes and the black ink and stamp it

twice on both sides of the card on the coasts.

6. Take the Sea Shells Citrus Green and something to sponge and sponge the part from the

grass of the coasts to a little higher than the trees, then keep a white space and after that

sponge the very top also.

7. Take first the Adirondack light green and sponge the ink over the first layer of green,

but keep a little of the citrus green over so not all is done over ( look at above photo ), then take

the dark green and do the same again but also this time make sure you keep some of the

citrus and light green over so you get a real deep sight in the card color ( see photo below )

8. Then take the light blue from Adirondack, sponge the whole water blue with it, make sure

you have hit all so you don't have any white spots left, then take the dark blue and sponge

only the sides of the water a little darker, especially in the background and around the flowers,

that will give a more deeper impact.

9. Finally take the memories black ink and sponge some black around the masked fairy,

at the upper side by the green , around the flowers and some on the coasts and trees.

Then take the Brilliance moonlight white ink and sponge it over the black ink, so you will

get a misty look, hard too see on the pictures but it is really there.

10 . Take the blossom stamp and the black ink and stamp it two times in the air

around the green area's , make sure it is nicely spread over the air.

11. Take the white gel marker and color the blossom flowers white and also the flowers

on the branch which the fairy is holding, then remove all the masks from the card.

12. Take some markers in green colors and color the fairy in different layers green,

then take again the white ink and sponge over the fairy so she will also get a misty look.

13. And here comes the trick with the old paper you had too save at the beginning! Lay it over the

flower and take your green inks again , sponge the topsides of the leaves in green, do that with

each flower, make sure the mask is good on the flower or else you have all green stripes over your

card and that is not what you want is it ???

14. Finally take the white gel marker again to get the finishing touch, make some stripes on the

leaves of the Water Lily, point some white points around the fairy and in the other misty places!

Take a nice color of paper and put the scene on it with some glue! And the job is done!

Good Luck!
