Supplies: Shrink plastic, template or cookie cutter, pen, scissors, document or permanent ink, Marvy or Tomboy markers, heat gun, cupcakes.
Using your cookie cutter or template, draw your hearts onto a sheet of shrink plastic. It will shrink to about 30% of the original size so make it fairly big. This heart measures 4" x 4". Cut your hearts out just inside your drawn line and stamp on them. I found that dye ink pads didn't adhere well but Marvy and Tomboy markers did a decent job. Lightly sanding your shrink plastic will also help the ink to adhere.

Wally used an industrial heat gun to shrink these. Don't be alarmed when it looks like your plastic is turning into a big melted ball. After curling up and looking like it's ruined, it will flatten out.

I used a spatula to help hold it down while Wally heated it. It now measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".

These make great party favors. You can even do this as a project during a party with supervision. Glue a pin back on to make a pin. Punch a hole at the top before shrinking so you can string it for a necklace or key chain.
